GBGuns has become what it is today in part by reviewing the less-common firearms on the market. This is been great fun for me, and has helped both myself and viewers discover some of the other great options out there, often times those firearms have offered unique features and/or been less expensive than the main stream.
Unfortunately, that has also lead myself and others to say, "I love this thing, but I can't find a holster for it". The problem is that the less-popular guns simply don't create enough demand with any single holster maker for them to offer a holster. The solution has been to either find a local holster maker to make a pricey custom holster, or simply go without. I believe I've discovered a solution.
Before getting too much into this, let me be clear that this is not a sponsored or paid post. I discovered these holsters while looking for a specific solution. N8Tactical and partner company CrossBreed did not send these holsters, nor were they aware that I would make this post. I am, however, an affiliate of CrossBreed so if you do purchase a holster through the links on this page it will support GBGunsDepot.com.
What Is It? The Multiflex holster comes in two sizes and can be configured for IWB or OWB use. What makes this better than a "gun bucket" universal holster is that the MultiFlex uses two adjustable lever arms to apply pressure to the trigger guard and dust cover of the pistol. With a generic-enough main body to handle most pistol widths, the MultiFlex's lever arms can be adjusted for proper fit, then the tensioning screw is adjusted for proper tension.
Who's It For? Anyone with more than one handgun, or who owns any pistol that they've struggled to have a holster for.
What's it Cost? Suprisingly, these holsters go for $49.95 at the time this article was written. That's far less than I've spent on most of my other holsters which now live in a drawer.
What are the drawbacks? Comfort is absolutely a personal thing that I can not speak to on behalf of everyone. Your body shape and size, the size and shape of the gun, your carry position, clothing style, and personal comfort threshold are all factors I refuse to guess.
Comfort aside, the nature of these holsters meant they are slightly larger than a custom fit. As a person accustomed to carrying full-size guns in the winter I don't find this to be an issue as my clothing style and comfort threshold has already adapted to there being something large on my hip. If you're one who wears a lot of tight clothing these may not be for you. The good news is you can still flip the clips to the other side and use it as an OWB holster on the range.
My experience came when looking for a way to carry the Sig P365 FUSE which using one of Icarus Precision's polymer grip frames. I intend to take a course this fall using that build and so the search began.
After discovering the MultiFlex holster I decided to use it for our travels to TriggrCon. I did not attach the comfort backer, but will now. While the holster wasn't particularly uncomfortable, I can see how it would have added some comfort during the walking a warm weather experienced in Kansas.
Example Gun fitments without levers adjusted
I hope those are enough random examples to show you that most any pistol will fit the Multiflex. For just under $50 it's a heck of a deal. Take a look at the Multiflex HERE.
